Curriculum
Sekolah Kristen Calvin is grounded in Christian faith and Reformed theology, viewing the world through a Christian worldview. The school's learning approach is integrative, combining various fields of knowledge based on God's Word, with a focus on literacy, critical thinking, and language skills. The goal is to build Christian character traits such as love, truth, and perseverance, while developing each student's unique potential. SKC uses the Indonesian national curriculum, leveraging the "Merdeka Belajar" (Freedom to Learn) policy to develop a curriculum aligned with Christian faith and global developments.
Sekolah Kristen Calvin emphasizes six educational competencies: literacy, numeracy, critical and creative thinking, communication, self-identity, and Christian ethics. Literacy is essential for understanding the Bible and critical thinking, while numeracy helps students comprehend the order of God's creation. Critical and creative thinking are necessary for discerning truth and generating innovative solutions. Communication is taught to build healthy relationships, while self-identity education helps students understand themselves and their life's purpose. Christian ethics serves as the moral foundation rooted in Scripture, aiming to shape character that pleases God and loves others.
