The KB-TK Kristen Calvin students embarked on a colorful art adventure at the National Gallery, located at Jl. Medan Merdeka Tim. No.14, Gambir, Central Jakarta. They explored the Semesta Arkiv Exhibition, featuring works by Arkiv Vilmansa, a talented artist from Bandung. This exhibition opened a new perspective for the children—art is more than just colors and shapes; it is also a powerful medium for conveying messages and life values.
The highlight of the exhibition was its rich color exploration, imaginative characters, and interdisciplinary collaborations, resulting in stunning visuals. Some of the most captivating works included "Laut Semua Warna," "Sintesa," and "Metaphor of Memories," which depict Indonesia as a maritime nation rich in marine biodiversity. Through these masterpieces, the children not only appreciated the beauty of the ocean but also learned about the importance of environmental conservation.
Beyond admiring the incredible artworks, the students also gained insights from various collaborations showcased in the exhibition. Arkiv Vilmansa worked with renowned artists such as Sunaryo Sutono, Erwin Windu Pranata, Darbotz, and Mulyana, creating a unique and inspiring fusion of artistic expressions.
One of the most memorable moments of the visit was meeting Kak Arkiv in person! The children had the chance to interact with the artist, learning that every artwork holds a story and deeper meaning. This encounter was truly inspiring, igniting their creativity and instilling early awareness of environmental responsibility.
