Amid the rapid development of technology and artificial intelligence (AI), which makes finding information easier than ever, the habit of reading books remains important. Reading is not only about gaining knowledge, but also about developing empathy, broadening our perspectives, and strengthening critical thinking skills.
To continue fostering a culture of literacy within the school community, SMP Kristen Calvin, in collaboration with the Comenius Library of Sekolah Kristen Calvin, introduced the Literacy Ambassador Program. This program provides students with an opportunity to develop their potential and creativity while taking an active role in encouraging a love of reading within the SMP Kristen Calvin community.
In addition to the Literacy Ambassadors, Library Friends were also selected through a selection process. Both groups are expected to become catalysts for positive change, inspiring the school community to develop a greater love for books and a stronger culture of literacy.
