The joyful spirit of the students of SD-SMP Kristen Calvin filled the celebration of Lunar New Year. The event was enlivened by performances of traditional Chinese music featuring the Erhu and Yang Qin, as well as a Wushu martial arts performance by Sekolah Kristen Calvin alumna, Ivana Beatrice Liestio. Equally exciting, the elementary students presented a stop-motion animation video project, the Flowers in Spring dance, and a Lunar New Year drama. Meanwhile, the junior high students performed using the traditional Chinese instrument Guzheng. The celebration concluded festively with a fashion show by the elementary and junior high students.
After the celebration, SD and SMP students joined games and craft activities in their respective classrooms together with attending parents. Uniquely, parents from SD Kristen Calvin also took part as the organizing committee for the games and craft sessions.
