In celebration of Hari Sumpah Pemuda, National Batik Day, and National Book Day, students of SD Kristen Calvin celebrated the 2026 Nusantara Cultural Showcase by presenting a variety of cultural performances representing 12 regions across Indonesia: Papua, Maluku, South Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, East Nusa Tenggara, Bali, Central Java, Jakarta, East Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Jambi, and Aceh.
Through this event, students were encouraged to explore Indonesia’s rich diversity, from traditional attire and regional songs to geographical features, local cuisines, and other cultural treasures. In doing so, they not only learned about Indonesia but also nurtured gratitude, pride, and love for their homeland.
The event also featured the announcement of winners from several competitions, including Storytelling, Toples Bahasa (using proper Indonesian), Batik Drawing and Coloring, and the Nusantara Cultural Showcase. Each creation and performance became part of a meaningful learning experience that enriched students’ knowledge and creativity.
May this event inspire students to know, appreciate, and love Indonesia in all its diversity. 🇮🇩
