Sekolah Kristen Calvin is seeking an individual with the competence, creativity, and dedication to join our team as an Elementary School Music Teacher. This position plays an important role in nurturing students’ potential, creativity, and appreciation for music through engaging and educational learning experiences. We are looking for a candidate with strong musical and pedagogical skills, the ability to guide students and develop their talents, and a passion for serving in an educational environment grounded in Christian values.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music programs for Playgroup and Kindergarten students.
- Develop students' musical abilities through singing, playing musical instruments, music appreciation, and creative musical expression
- Foster a joyful learning environment where students can develop their musical talents, creativity, discipline, and self-confidence
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to support school activities, including concerts, performances, chapel services, and other school events
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Music Education, Music, or a related field (fresh graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply)
- Minimum GPA of 3.25 on a 4.00 scale
- Able to apply effective teaching methods and educational technology for early childhood learners
- Able to design innovative and engaging music activities for young children
- Maximum age of 30 years
Nice to have
- Prior teaching experience at the elementary school level is preferred
- Proficient in playing more than one musical instrument (e.g., piano, guitar, recorder, or other instruments)
