Sekolah Kristen Calvin invites individuals with a strong understanding of Sociology, effective teaching skills, and a genuine commitment to students’ academic and character development to join SMA Kristen Calvin as a High School Sociology Teacher. This position focuses on delivering effective instruction that integrates the Christian faith, enabling students to critically understand social phenomena, develop an awareness of societal issues, and cultivate perspectives and attitudes that reflect the values of Sekolah Kristen Calvin.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Sociology lessons in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives
- Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools
- Guide students in understanding social phenomena and critically analyzing societal issues
- Assess and evaluate students’ learning progress
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to improve the quality of teaching and learning and support students’ character development
Must Have
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Sociology Education, Sociology, or a related field (fresh graduates with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply)
- Strong subject knowledge in high school-level Sociology
- Effective teaching skills and the ability to explain concepts systematically and in context
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- A commitment to integrating the Christian faith into teaching and supporting students’ academic and character development
Nice to have
- Ability to integrate technology into the learning process
